Nothing Biting

Oh hey nothing biting today. Kinda chilly if you let it, but y’know if you grab a couple bundles of layers it can get kinda cozy on the ice there. I remember couple years ago when we had that polar vortex they called it, it was darn near sixty below zero out on the lake, and the windchill was real bad too when it got going. Made the ice thick, though, and you worked up a good sweat trying get that auger through. Y’know my neighbor’s got that fancy  electric auger but it froze out last year, cold was too much for the batteries ‘n it killed out on ‘em about a foot down. Hey anyway, now we’ve got our holes dug let’s talk about Nothin’ Bitin’.

Nothin’ Bitin’s a game to play when you’re ice fishing I guess you could play it when you’re doing other kinds of fishing also, or even doing no kinds of fishing at all. Like suppose you’re out at one of those conventions they got there I guess you could play in a room with some chairs or something. Won’t change how much fish you’re gonna get though ‘cuz nothing’s biting That’s the most important thing to remember. Well, that and making sure you bring a six pack of something Minnesotan out on the ice. Like a good Bent Paddle Golden or maybe a case of One Eye from Insight or something, I’m not picky.
